Singapore Space Challenge 2009

Singapore Space Challenge returns for the second time.
The main objective of this Competition is to design a satellite or system of satellites for launch into Low Earth Orbit to monitor the seaways around Singapore and in the neighbouring countries.
The satellites(s) will be used to pick up distress signals for the intent of search & rescue operations (SAR), and monitoring of pirate activities around the region.

SIDEREUS aims to promote business partnerships among 300 European and Asian companies from the aerospace and infocomm sectors, with a special focus on satellite navigation applications. The event will take place in Beijing, China from 26-28 November 2008.

Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC) 2008

GSTC was a major success, bringing in 13 industry leaders addressing a targeted range of topics. The conference was graced by Mr. S. Iswaran, Singapore Minister of State for Trade and Industry, and marked an important milestone for Singapore Airshow, making it the world’s 1st Airshow to integrate an international space conference. Singapore Space Challenge (SSC)
Temasek Polytechnic clinches pole position for the inaugural Singapore Space Challenge 208. The winning team showcased their entry at the SSTA booth in the Singapore Airshow, and attracted significant public interest. The engineering competition was generously sponsored by Singapore Technologies Aerospace, Jet Star Asia and LYK Aerospace.
