The SSTA membership is open to corporations or individuals who by education or experience provide competence in relevant fields of study. By no means exhaustive, the designated fields in broad terms are: Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Mathematics, Physcial science, Biomedical and Life Sciences and Related Education, Management, Law and Policy.
Membership is subject to the approval of the SSTA committee. Applicants will be notified by post or email on the status of their applications. Application forms can be downloaded here and emailed to ssta@space.org.sg .
SSTA currently offers the following grades of membership:

| Corporate | Corporations and organizations who are actively involved in the development and/or promotion of the aerospace industry are eligible to apply. All registered members of the Corporate Membership will receive the standard benefits of a Professional Member. Corporate Members may appoint a representative to attend SSTA's General Meetings | < 5 employees: $1,000 6-20 employees: $2,000 > 20 employees: $3,000 |
| Affliate | Affiliate Membership applies specifically to funded groups or associations (e.g. non-profit organisations) with an interest to develop and promote the space industry. Affiliate memberships are strictly granted by invitation only. An affiliate member need not have to make annual contributions for membership. | Waived |
| Platinum Professional | A qualifying platinum professional would be an individual who has a proven track record and has demonstrated a high level of competency and contribution in their relevant field of work. Only individuals with minimum 3 consecutive years as a SSTA professional member and having achieved distinguished contributions in the arena of Space Industry will be eligible for consideration. Compared to a professional member, a platinum professional will receive the right to vote at SSTA's General Meetings. | $150 |
| Professional | A professional member is one who has satisfied specified educational requirements and/or who has demonstrated professional competence in relevant fields of interest. | $80 |
| Student | A qualifying student member must carry at least 50% of a normal full time academic program as a registered undergraduate or graduate student in a regular course of study in the above mentioned field of interests. | $20 |
