About SAS

Space Academy Singapore (SAS), jointly organized by Singapore Space and Technology Association (SSTA) and TriVector International (TVI), is Singapore‚Äôs premiere space camp conducted with a focus to create public awareness and prepare the future generations for the space and aerospace industry.

The premium 2-day Junior programme catered for students aged 8-12 years old is conducted by current and former NASA engineers, who conduct a rigorous course of the coveted astronaut selection programme. SAS is supported by DSO and A*STAR.

These space engineers were involved in projects such as the Hubble Telescope, Ares l, Apollo Missions, International Space Station and advanced NASA space missions. Students/Teachers will definitely stand to gain from the rich curriculum that includes an academic core of astronautics, aerodynamics, biology, rocketry & propulsion, unmanned technology, international public relations and systems engineering (to name a few), practical elements where they put their classroom work to the test, and experiential components (such as putting projects together underwater, or working under extreme environments in subzero temperatures). The participants also get the chance to visit related industries to get up-close-and-personal feel of the industry and the people in them. There is a very strong focus on team building through space case scenarios, since astronaut selection programme focuses heavily on that for long mission durations.

Space Academy Singapore has been carefully conceived to ensure high relevance to today's student's development, to motivate them to become leaders in tomorrow's dynamic global playing field.

Only the very best make it through astronaut selection, with all-rounded individuals eventually exploring the last frontier for all mankind.
