Call for White Paper Submission .
Singapore Space & Technology Ltd (SSTL), in collaboration with The Office of Naval Research (ONR), is looking for innovative scientific and technological solutions that can address current and future Navy and Marine Corps requirements. ONR aims to work with people and organizations with ground-breaking ideas, pioneering scientific research, novel technology developments and first-class support services. It is desired that this challenge will identify one or more researchers with novel solutions to the problem statement given.
Stand a Chance to Present at GSTC 2023 .
Call for Papers is open from now till 23 December 2022, 11:59 pm (GMT +8). We strongly encourage you to not miss the opportunity to submit a white paper and stand a chance to present your submission in-person at the next Global Space Technology Convention (GSTC) on 15-16 February 2023 at Sheraton Towers, Singapore.
Problem Statement .
Submit a white paper with the innovative solutions to the problem statement below.
Software engineering and product integration into a real-time, open-source satellite information processing architecture.
While rapid expansion of space engineering, technology, and science has facilitated innovation in end-to-end production and delivery of space-based solutions, it has also splintered development and delivery mechanisms. Creator and user experiences can become stove-piped into narrow production lines that inhibits the collaboration necessary for continued innovation. To that end, it is necessary to develop capabilities and standards that foster broad uses and consistent interaction between many different vendors, applications, and users.
The topic seeks state-of-the-art techniques, methodologies, and systems that foster common standards in software development that can (and should) be accessed by the entire community. Specific efforts include broad programmatic areas such as communication services, automation, cloud protocols, geo-rectified data and monitoring, data exploitation, and downstream applications.
Successful papers will outline current problems from closed software architecture, describe potential solutions, and show progress toward a shared capability across global users to request, queue, access, build, contribute, and/or use open-source technologies.
